This was made as a summer project in an open-ended studio class. I was the lead designer who pitched and designed the project, as well as one of the writers. The game itself is a point-and-click mystery game that was designed with a mobile game market in mind. The setting is a bizarre theater where the mysteries are being acted out by a reoccurring cast of characters, and the twist is you the audience are expected to collect clues and solve the mystery yourself.
A specific aspect of the design I want to highlight is the act structure. Like plays are separated into 3 acts this is as well. The first act is for exploring the map and becoming introduced to the characters and context. The second act starts when a dead body shows up and features collecting clues and using logic to put them together and establish the events of the crime. And the third act is when you use the collected clues to accuse one of the characters of the murder.

This was a fun project to work on primarily since it let me warm up a bit and have something to show my design skill before capstone. It's also the first project where I really took charge as lead designer and while that was stressful it was a great learning experience.
